With the goal of contributing to the promotion of students' information literacy, the Library provides, every six months, a diverse training offer, aimed at the three study cycles. Consult the Library Calendar and sign up for sessions using the online application form.
The training offer is structured into two levels which, although distinct, complement each other:
General training (introductory)
Aimed at 1st year students of any of the three study cycles offered by the School of Arts and Humanities, it intends to make the services globally known and introduce students to the various information resources made available by the Library, with emphasis on the online bibliographic catalogue. This training is targeted at classes, individual registrations are not accepted. Teachers can register for their respective classes by filling out the online application form.
Specific training (advanced)
Aimed at students in the first, second and third cycle of studies, it focuses on the advanced exploration of databases and research tools for scientific information on the Internet. Users can register individually for sessions by filling out the online application form.
These actions, lasting 90 minutes, are carried out on an online meeting platform and on Moodle (asynchronous modules). Of an eminently practical nature, they are limited to a maximum of 35 participants and a minimum of 5. Registration confirmation is made by email, up to 1 working day in advance.
Upon request from teachers, the Library carries out, outside the Agenda, actions adapted to the specific needs of groups. Appointment requests are made by filling out the form.
