The third seminar of the CEComp-HD series offers an interdisciplinary reflection on the opportunities of digital methods applied to cultural and humanistic studies.

With a special focus on space and mapping, its international contributions explore how digital methods transform disciplinary traditions and epistemic cultures across studies of public history, literary studies and postcolonial memory studies.

A keynote will be given by Andreas Fickers, Professor for Contemporary and Digital History at the University of Luxembourg. Since 2016, Prof. Fickers is the director of the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH), an institutional hub in the European research community in the field of digital and public history.

He will be joined by Anna Perera Roura and Margarida Casacuberta Rocarols from the Institute of Language and Catalan Culture at the University of Girona, who will reflect on their experience of developing a digital cartography for literary events in Catalan language.

In addition, Jonas Prinzleve, a PhD student at CEComp, University of Lisbon, will present a new digital mapping project on the memory of colonialism and its manifestations in the cities of Lisbon and Hamburg.
