In this four-part workshop, a range of empirical research methodologies used in the humanities will be explored. The focus of most examples will be the health and medical humanities, because, as with the environmental humanities, this field utilises approaches from across the gamut of humanities disciplines. However, the approaches presented may be used in any area of qualitative research in the humanities. In each workshop, students will apply learning outcomes to their own work or to a topic of interest.
