The internationalisation of the School of Arts and Humanities is about providing its bachelor, master's and doctoral students with the best opportunities to study and doing a traineeship abroad. Therefore, the School of Arts and Humanities has established an increasing number of cooperation agreements with top international academic and scientific partners.

This opens up several opportunities for the School´s students to internationalise their academic path:

  • Through Erasmus+ Mobility Studies, Internships, and International Credit Mobility;
  • As an Exchange Student under exchange protocols or bilateral agreements;
  • As a national mobility student: Almeida Garrett program; or
  • As a Free Mover - Visiting Student.

The School of Arts and Humanities students' outgoing mobility and exchange possibilities cover countries all over the world.

In addition, the School of Arts and Humanities participates in a growing number of international master's and doctoral programs whose syllabus includes attendance at foreign universities.

Currently, the Erasmus+ program accounts for about 80% of the School of Arts and Humanities' mobilities. The number of mobility and exchange students at the School of Arts and Humanities has been boosted by the dissemination of scholarship opportunities for study abroad.
